Financial Markets:

Financial Market is a broad term applied to any venue where the market participants come together with the intention of completing a transaction. The transaction is usually buy/sell immediately or in the future, or speculate on certain events, etc.
The venue is regulated and provides a certain level of security to the participants. As such, many third-party assurance providers are involved in a venue.

Here are examples of financial markets:
NYSE
NADAQ
CME Group (Chicago Mercantile Exchange)
Kalshi (Federally regulated exchange where you can trade on the outcome of events)
